One person was injured on Monday in Germantown, when there was a small pile-up on Richter Farm Road near the intersection of Great Seneca Highway.

The crash was reported at around 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 27.

Photos released from the scene show a Chevrolet that smashed into the back of a tractor-trailer stopped at a red light before an Audi SUV apparently drove through the back of the sedan, which came to rest on top of the third vehicle.

One person was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Traffic was temporarily tied up in the area during the morning commute as police investigated and cleared the scene. It is unclear what caused the crash.

More information is expected to be released.
